40 Years of Impact and Driving Change

The start of any New Year is an exciting time— full of promise and opportunity. At Russell Herder, 2024 is especially meaningful as it marks our 40th year in business. The firm has evolved and grown significantly in the past four decades, but there are a few constants.

We are proud to be an independent, woman-owned business led by two of the original founding partners. Through deep market insights, high quality service delivery and thoughtful strategic planning we anticipate the rapidly changing needs of our clients and develop work that is relevant and results-driven, delivered by senior teams dedicated to making and measuring impact.

To start the new year, we have some news to share: Russell Herder was recently recognized as a Top Impact Company by Real Leaders® for 2024. These awards spotlight the businesses making a positive impact in the world through their business practices and how they are driving transformation. Real Leaders® selects companies for this recognition based on their Intention, Model, People, Accountability, Collaboration and Transformation. We’re proud to be listed alongside other select, well-known firms and brands and to be one of only 14 marketing and media firms to make the list.

Using business as a force for good is more than a motto; it is a foundational part of our commitment to doing work that matters. Over the past three years, we have provided more than half a million dollars in pro bono services to Minnesota nonprofits. We will further grow this commitment, ensuring a tremendously positive impact throughout the state in the arts, health and human services, and economic sustainability. In 2023 alone, we donated $280,000 in professional services to 20 organizations and businesses. The work our team has provided – from websites to digital advertising, media relations to creative – has significantly furthered the work and impact of many important organizations.

We are far from done. In 2024 and beyond we continue to evolve to best meet the needs of our clients and further the greater good in the communities that we serve.
