Russell Herder Recognized with Three Healthcare Advertising Awards

We’re honored to make a difference through campaigns like “Know the Dangers,” “The Story of 988” and more

The Healthcare Advertising Awards, now in its 41st year, recognizes outstanding work in the field of healthcare marketing. We at Russell Herder are honored to be recognized with three prestigious Healthcare Advertising Awards. Among these accolades is the coveted “Best in Show” designation. With over 4,300 entries reviewed by a panel of national judges, these awards underscore our ability to captivate audiences through creativity, quality, and impactful messaging.

These awards emphasize our commitment to crafting campaigns that inform and inspire action. Among the winning campaigns is the longstanding collaboration between RH and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). The “Know the Dangers” campaign, made in response to the opioid crisis in Minnesota, stands out for its clarity, factual basis, and provision of crucial resources for recovery and harm reduction. The campaign’s television commercial, which distinguished itself in its creative execution, implores parents to be aware of the prevalence of fentanyl in their kids’ lives, and earned the “Best in Show” title. Additionally, the accompanying Know the Dangers website was recognized for its effectiveness in disseminating vital information.

The impact of our work extends beyond state borders, as shown by our collaboration with Sycamores, a provider of programs benefiting vulnerable children, youth, and families in Southern California. The Gold award-winning animated video, “The Story of 988,” helped to raise public awareness about the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. By bringing awareness to this critical resource, RH and Sycamores aim to ensure that individuals in distress have access to free, confidential support and suicide prevention resources round-the-clock. The video’s recognition underscores the importance of innovative communication strategies in addressing pressing public health issues.

With an abundance of public health issues, the need for effective healthcare communication cannot be overstated. While we’re honored to receive these awards, we view the meaningful changes in public health discourse as the real achievement.
