Looking Back at the Impactful Work Over the Last Year.
For over 40 years, Russell Herder has had the pleasure of working with organization that share our goal of making the world a better place. We learn from their passion and dedication by working behind the scenes to shine a light on their crucial initiatives. Last year was no different.
Last year, we partnered with engineering and architecture firms, nonprofits, the city of Minneapolis, the state of Minnesota, national associations, hotels, and more. We also provided more than $276,000 in professional services to mission-driven organizations.
The projects below are just a small slice of our work:
Odyssey Resorts: Supporting Communities Near and Far
Odyssey Resorts offers unique experiences for every type of traveler, supporting northern Minnesota communities with crucial tourism dollars.
The RH team developed the new primary brand theme, ‘Escape for the Moment,’ to emphasize that the resorts are not just hotels — they are special places to share moments and make memories. To accomplish this, RH established the theme as a foundational message and suggested quarterly adaptation to showcase the special nature of spring, summer, winter and fall.

City of Minneapolis: Sex Trafficking Campaign
The City of Minneapolis often finds itself on a list of cities battling sex trafficking incidents. Approached by the City of Minneapolis to educate the public and make victims aware of resources to seek help, Russell Herder developed the cross-channel ‘Sex Trafficking Thrives In Silence’ campaign in collaboration with local nonprofits and creators.
By educating the public that ‘Sex Trafficking Thrives In Silence’ and disseminating information about lifesaving resources, Russell Herder and the City of Minneapolis hope to disrupt and decrease sex trafficking in the Twin Cities.

Sycamores: Crucial Support at a Critical Time
After the Palisades and Eaton fires erupted across greater Los Angeles, close to 200,000 people were evacuated, and homes, businesses and community organizations were destroyed. Among those rushing to help their communities was Sycamores, a significant nonprofit that provides behavioral health services, advocacy, mobile crisis outreach and more.
Russell Herder reached out to long-time client Sycamores to offer our support through email and website outreach. Within a week, the work was up and running, and the nonprofit saw significant clicks to their website. A nexus of many of RH’s priorities — community, and mental and behavioral health — the landing page was a small contribution that made a big impact in a time of community and climate crisis.

Russell Herder remains committed to expanding our impact by strengthening supplier relationships and prioritizing the well-being of our team. Redefining success in business is a shared effort, and we are grateful for the clients and partners who have supported us along the way. We look forward to seizing even greater opportunities together in the year ahead.
Because we believe in doing work that matters.
